Andrew Walker joined Taylor Oballa Murray Leyland LLP in 2015. Prior to joining Taylor Oballa Murray Leyland LLP, he practiced corporate, commercial and securities law at McMillan LLP, where he worked with a wide range of clients from around the world, including large telecommunications companies, major retailers and distributors, a global social media and public relations firm and a multinational brewing and beverage company.
Andrew's practice at TKO is broad, encompassing both general business and entertainment and media law. He advises companies and individuals on how to start, operate, buy or sell a business. He also works closely with start-up companies in the technology, music, gaming, television and film industries, and draws on his experience negotiating shareholder, joint venture, partnership, sponsorship and service agreements for some of the world's largest companies to inform his current practice.
Andrew graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2009 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. During his time at law school, he completed exchanges to Hebrew University (Jerusalem) and Stockholm University. Prior to law school, Andrew worked for a successful independent fashion label in Toronto and Montreal while completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and McGill.
Andrew is committed to fostering arts and culture in Toronto and beyond. Andrew is on the Board of Directors of both the Toronto Arts Council and the Toronto Arts Foundation, and has been volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto since 2011.
